KEMI KING has varied expertise and wealth of experience acquired over a period of 15 years in the Food Industry and Research Institutions. She completed her degree in Food Technology with a first-class honor and is a Master of Science in Food Quality, Safety and Innovation in University of Leeds, both in United Kingdom. Having worked in different food companies such as ASDA PLC, Morrison Group and Manchester Food Research Centre, all in United Kingdom; the passion to impact and transfer knowledge to food industry work force in Nigeria cannot be over emphasized. As a diaspora, she engaged in consultancy; training and mentoring youths, Small Medium Entrepreneurs (SME) on GMP, GHP, HACCP and New Product Development through Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) and Private Companies.

In the process she was spotted by Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO) Lagos, Nigeria, where she was the Acting Divisional Head for Food Safety and Quality Management (FS&QM) for 3 years. She was the principal trainer on GMP, GHP, Pre-requisite Programmes and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). She was engaged in the training of SMEs and Train the Trainer Project in the Technology Transfer Scheme of the Institute. She was also part of the ISO-17025 accreditation team of the Analytical Laboratory in FIIRO as the Documentation Officer. Before her departure from FIIRO she restructured and upgraded the (FS&QM) division and the feedback has been impressive.

Kemi King is an active member of Institute of Food Science & Technology UK (IFST), Institute of Food Technology, Chicago, USA (IFT), Institute of Food Science and Technology, Lagos, Nigeria (NIFST), International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFOST) and Nigeria Institute of Microbiology Lagos (NIM). She is extremely passionate about prevention of food spoilage and wastage from farm; hence she designed corrective action from farm to fork through storage, packaging and processing for end users to enhance food security in the country which is our vision. She currently owns food manufacturing companies producing drinks, cereals and healthy dried snacks both in United Kingdom and Nigeria.
